This Historic brandy is from the far south western part of France. A great gift for someone turning 50 this year!

Wines

1994 Port Set: Taylor-Fladgate & Fonseca $599.99

Hold on to your hat. This is the best Fonseca since 1977, and it's probably even better than that classic vintage--more like the breathtaking 1948. Mind-blowing, with masses of color, aroma and fruit flavor. Smells like fermenting berries, boasting loads of crushed grape, violet and berry character.  Big, full-bodied and very sweet with tons of tannins. Tannic and huge, it's a long-term, great Port.

1997 Penfolds Grange Shiraz  Regular Price: $179.99

Sale Price: $139.98

Grange is recognized as Australia’s and indeed one of the world’s finest red wines. The great wine, developed by Max Schubert commencing with the 1951 vintage, is made from low yielding Shiraz vines grown in South Australia and matured in new American oak hogsheads prior to bottling. Grange is a wine specifically made to mature in the bottle. It will develop greater complexity and integration of flavors for 20 years of more under correct cellaring conditions. Extract tannins are not removed at the time of bottling, as it is this element that contributes to the flavor, and settle as a crust on the bottle over time. To fully appreciate the grange style, Max Schubert advocated careful decanting before serving. Decanting allows the wine to breathe, stimulating and enlivening the wine by exposing it of air. This will enhance both the palate and the bouquet.

2003 Marilyn Merlot Velvet Series 1.5 Ltr.  $219.99

The wines themselves are proprietary blends of some of the finest red wine varietals - predominately Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot - grown in Napa Valley.

2002/2003 Opus One $179.99

Opus One was founded in 1979 by Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild. In 1983, Baron Philippe came up with the name Opus — of Latin origin — allowing for easy recognition in French and English. Opus is a musical term analogous to the first work of a composer. Two days later he proposed an additional word: Opus One — and the rest is history.  The 2002 Opus One shows aromas of dried strawberry, vanilla bean and mocha with flavors of cassis, black cherry and plum. The 2003 Opus One shows aromas of blackberry, plum, hazelnut, graphite, olive oil, cocoa and dried cherries.
